Princess and the “P”
So Childish Designs - Blog

When it came time to design a “big girl” room for my little princess, I knew it needed to be as special as she was! It had to be feminine, girly, fun and not too PRINCESSY for my liking! She LOVES pink, so that was also a pre-requisite!
There were a few items I had to start with, a vanity and dresser from when I was a little girl, a white butterfly mobile from her nursery, a bistro table and chair set that I picked up while I was pregnant, and a fabulous original piece of art I splurged on when I was still single.
I love Amy Butler fabrics, so I scoured her designs to find a fabric that could tie the room together, Cypress Paisley in Mint was PERFECT!
I created two collage walls with photos, handprints, artwork, keepsakes, and her darling Doodlebug Design ceramic impressions.
I love her room, but more importantly, she does. We have daily tea parties, dressed up in tiaras and tutu’s, Dad too! It’s a room that’s fit for a princess, but even more so, it perfect of Miss P!
